The Story

Built by Chris Burk as his first true custom home, this Northwest Craftsman rambler represents the foundation of what would later become J2HD. Designed on a completely flat 1.25-acre lot, the home was thoughtfully laid out to maximize livability, entertaining, and long-term functionality while maintaining a warm, timeless architectural style. The single-level design features a dedicated office, an expansive screened-in back deck, and a large exterior patio with a built-in fireplace—creating multiple outdoor entertaining zones. A generous driveway allows for ample guest parking, while full perimeter fencing and a privacy gate make the property ideal for animals and private living. While not Chris’s first property, this home helped forge the path that ultimately led to the partnership with Dave Jennings and Travis Jorgensen and the creation of J2HD.
