The Story

2HD built The Battleship for a highly successful family seeking a bold, modern Northwest home in an ultra exclusive gated community. The surrounding amenities include a private golf course, equestrian facilities, and resort level privacy. The client’s vision was a super modern, statement residence—one that felt grounded in the Pacific Northwest while borrowing the strength and presence of Lake Tahoe mountain architecture. Set on a challenging and steep lot, the home was engineered to feel solid, commanding, and timeless—earning its name, The Battleship. Clean architectural lines, expansive glass, warm natural wood tones, and layered roof forms define the exterior, while the interior layout maximizes views, indoor outdoor living, and long term functionality. This project showcases J2HD’s ability to merge bold design with technical precision on demanding sites.
