The Story

This custom residence was personally designed and built by Dave Jennings, CEO of J2HD, as a showcase of how thoughtful architecture and disciplined execution can unlock the full potential of a challenging site. Positioned on a steeply sloped lot with unobstructed water and Mount Rainier views, the home reflects an Australian-inspired Northwest modern aesthetic focused on light, openness, and connection to the landscape. The two-story layout places the primary bedroom on the upper level to fully capitalize on the panoramic views, while the home’s expansive rear deck was intentionally designed to maximize outdoor entertaining. A fully independent mother-in-law suite above the garage—with its own private entrance—adds long-term flexibility and multi-generational functionality. This home stands as a prime example of how complex terrain, bold design, and view-driven planning can be seamlessly integrated into a refined, livable luxury residence.
